Hello there! I am honored to be participating in a blog hop today with Hero Arts and Lea Lawson. Here is all of the information:
Today we are hopping to celebrate all things fall and winter – and to rev up your holiday card making motors! We are also joining Lea Lawson during her month-long Crafty Comeback Party. Lea is an amazing designer, and we are thrilled to support her! Tune into her blog every day this month – she began the party on October 7th, and there have been many beautiful cards and fabulous giveaways along the way! To make this party extra fun, we invited along the fabulously talented team at A Blog Named Hero! Lots of inspiration on this hop today.
I made a tag, using all Hero Arts, all the time. I have been wanting to use this Celebrate Tag forever, and am so glad I used it here. This gift tag practically makes itself. The sentiment is from the similar Thank You Tag set. I thought this would be wonderful to use on a hostess gift this coming holiday season. The tag itself was cut with one of the tags from the Nesting Tag Die set from Hero Arts. That set is 100% a must have, in my opinion.
To color the “image” I used copic markers, and for final shading I used some colored pencils. Right on top of the copics, works perfectly. That sentiment was embossed on top of the copics, again, works perfectly. That gold embossing powder is the Hero Arts gold embossing powder, and it’s just the perfect shade of gold. I used the reinforcement die that is included in the Nesting Tag set to cut reinforcements from gold paper. Adhered that to the tag and threaded some twine through the hole. I left the twine long enough to tie around the gift, if needed. As a last step I added some glossy accents to the floral parts of the die cut.
