25 Days of Christmas Tags

25-tags-1I’m so happy to be participating in Tracey McNeely’s 25 Days of Christmas Tags this year. I am doing so on behalf of Concord & 9th and our Where Creativity Meets C9 challenge blog!

Every day for 25 days, a different company will be featured, how fun is that? So much inspiration, I really hope you’ll take a moment to look around, and even join us. Concord & 9th is giving away a $25 prize. Have you seen their new release? You want to win this! This graphic shows which companies are participating. All of them, awesome.

25-tags

Now, for my tag!

Tag for Tracey McNeely's 25 Days of Christmas

Using the Bags & Tags Dies, I cut out my tag from white cardstock. I used an image from Joy to add a bit of interest to the blank tag, and then the To and From from Perfectly Penned to make the tag an official gift tag. 🙂 Now, for the fun part.

I used distress ink to paint some tree colors onto watercolor paper. Then using the zig zag border die from Bags & Tags, I cut out some pieces and then adhered them to a piece of scrap office paper. Using the tree stitched die from Simon Says Stamp, I cut out this tree, and then turned up the edges with my bone folder.

I made two trees, as I knew I wanted the tree to hang over the edge of the tag, and wanted it to have a pretty back side, as well. Applied some red sequins as ornaments, and that’s the completed tree. Finished the tag with a reinforcement made from silver glitter paper and then used some satin embroidery floss to make the tie.

Thank you so much for stopping by, I wish you and yours a very happy holiday season!

    Love the layered Christmas tree.
    It’s not overly-fussy – just right.
    thanks for sharing.
