We have a new challenge up over at A Blog Named Hero, and it’s one of my favorites: embossing. I still love embossing. It’s like magic to me, mesmerizes me every time I do it, and I use this technique a lot. 🙂
For this card, I started with some white cardstock, and used a Distress Paint Dauber on it, to give the background some color and texture. I absolutely love the way that came out. Be prepared to see more of that around here.
Waited for that paint to dry, and then took one of the smaller flower images from the Altenew Vintage Flowers stamp set and some versamark ink, and just went to town, stamping away. No rhyme or reason, or pattern, which is very difficult for me to do.
I used my favorite Hero Arts white embossing powder, and heat embossed the images. Then I put the card together with the help of some glitter paper and a great alphabet stamp set from Hero Arts.
The last step was to add some Diamond Stickles to the inside of each flower center.
I hope you like this card, and decide to join us over at our challenge. As always, our fantastic sponsor, Simon Says Stamp will be providing a $25 gift certificate to the winner. We love them.

That is a beautiful card. The contrast between your deep violet/purple is exquisite with the gold glitter paper. Great job!
(PS can you let someone know the second card sample link does not work? Thank you)
