Caught!

This morning I hear Robert reading my blog. Oh shoot! How do I hear him reading? Well, he comments aloud about the algae bloom link. I’m sitting at my desk waiting. Waiting. Here it comes.

Ha ha ha ha ha. Yes, he got to my "shout-out" to him on the post about organic skin care. I may as well come clean now. Pun intended.

Last night I used my new Jurlique Facial soap. Loved it. A bit scented for me, but it’s all natural, I’ll get used to it, I’m sure. Jurlique is a line of cosmetics from Australia. It seems when we were there last January that we saw it EVERYWHERE we went. Literally, there are stores throughout the country. They’re in malls, on the streets, I think I might have even seen a cart on the street corner. I’m joking. Sort of. Then, we leave hotels and cities, and go to my friend Jenny’s house for a long weekend. What’s in her shower? Jurlique.

What was nice at Verde Maison was that they had me try this in the bathroom, to wash my hands, to see if I was happy with the amount of lather and how my hands felt afterward. That made me happy in itself. I know it’s silly, but I like my lather. I know that the milky stuff is better for your skin, but I like bubbles. That’s just me.

After cleansing I used my Logona night cream. What’s nice about this boutique is that they give you a sample of what you buy, so you can use the sample to try the product. They won’t take returns on opened products and this way you get to try it, and make sure there aren’t any negative reactions.

I also washed and conditioned my hair with Giovanni Tea Tree Triple Treat Shampoo and Conditioner. For those that don’t know me, I never spend money on myself. I may buy some craft supplies, but not toiletries, cosmetics, etc. It’s just not me. My dog gets groomed more than I do. It’s true!

Here in Arizona we have super dry air, and especially during the winter, I just need a bit of a extra moisture boost. Don’t worry, Robert uses my products too. We’re an equal opportunity household.

Last, but certainly not least… hand cream. I have to have hand cream and lip balm by my keyboard at all times. And my bedside. I got a hand cream that I can not find a US link to, sorry. It’s called Oleanat Organic gentle hand cream. I LOVE how they capitalize Organic, but don’t care about the rest of the title. :O)

This stuff is great. It’s heavier than what would normally come out of a pump hand cream, but it’s still loose and easy to rub into your hands. It has a very light scent, and most of all… it stays on your hands. I can still feel the softness of it hours later. Not in a greasy way at all, just in a "wow, it’s been hours since I’ve applied hand cream and I don’t feel like my fingers are going to crack and fall off at any moment." I’m not the only one that feels that, am I?

So, that’s it. Call Roxana at Verde Maison, she’ll send you this stuff. It’s great. Really. And not expensive. I know that is a relative thing. An example is this night cream. I paid $21, and had been paying $64 for something I loved at Nordstrom. I switched for Organic reasons, in case anyone is wondering. We get enough chemicals second-hand, we don’t need to apply them ourselves.
