Concord & 9th Turns Two: Pineapple Perfection

It’s our last Feature Friday with Concord & 9th today. Feature Fridays will continue, just not with the Where Creativity Meets C9 design team. We have had so much fun playing with the new products this month in celebration of Concord & 9th’s Second birthday. Thank you so much Concord & 9th for inviting us along, it’s been wonderful.

This week we are featuring the new Pineapple Perfection stamp and die sets, and I’ve decided to think outside of the Pineapple! I used the single floral images to create this card, and it came together like a dream.

I placed the three floral images on a block and stamped them randomly on a piece of watercolor paper. Then I filled in the blank space with the leaf image. I just got some “new to me” watercolors, so I used them to color the images. I die cut four banners with the banner die from the Pineapple Perfection die set, adhered them together, and then heat embossed a sentiment onto the top layer. Added some sequins and embroidery floss, and we have a card!

You can see a bit better in this picture that the watercolors I used are metallic. They’re lovely. Pretty colors, but quite opaque, so I tried to avoid going over the embossed lines in the images. Left some white spots for what we’re calling a “painterly” effect. For me, it’s just a way for me not to make myself crazy. Ha.

Thanks so much for joining us this month while we’ve played along with Concord & 9th. I know that I’ve had a lot of fun, and can’t wait to see the new releases for September.

Gorgeous!!! I have this stamp set and these paints so naturally I need to try this. I love the shimmery effect on this card. I have hardly used these so thanks for the inspiration. This stamp/die set is really unique and I love it.
