Hair Today Gone Tomorrow

Got a hair cut today. Last time was November 15, 2007. That is NOT a typo. Got my hair cut on the day I got married. Then I sort of ignored it for a while. I am not one that ever liked to go to the hair salon, even as a child.

After a few months my hair got pretty long, at least for me, and I still never made an appointment. A few months later I said to myself “Self, why not just keep growing it and donate it to Locks of Love?”

I agreed, and chose to grow it for a great cause. Finally got it cut today. Needed 10” in order to donate to Locks of Love. If I didn’t have 10”, I could donate to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, they require 8”.

I actually brought a ruler with me to the appointment. I thought that last thing I needed was to get there and then have to find something to use as a measuring device. Like a piece of paper, or a dollar bill.

Anyway, 11 1/2” later, I’m shorn like a spring sheep. It’s a bit short for me. I wish I’d kept that inch and a half, but… it’s for a great cause, and it will grow back.
