Hero Arts 45th Anniversary Blog Hop – Giveaway

I am so excited to be a part of this amazing blog hop that Hero Arts is having to celebrate their 45th Anniversary and the release of the 2019 Summer Catalog. You might have arrived here from the Lawn Fawn blog, I appreciate you stopping by.

Traditional and modern gifts for a 45th anniversary are sapphire, which helped me choose my color scheme for this card.

I wanted to make a shaped card and started by cutting some Nautical cardstock with the Floral Garden die. I used a few of the dies from the Circle Infinity dies to cut the base of the card, to cut a circular frame for the outside, and also to cut the Floral Garden die cut into a circle to fit the card front.

I stamped the sentiment onto a piece of vellum and then embossed it with silver embossing powder. Using the same circle die that I used for the card front, I cut that strip of vellum so that it would fit into the “frame” area perfectly. Speaking of the frame, I covered that with Versamark and then embossed it with silver embossing powder a few times. I wanted it to look perfectly domed and make the perfect frame for this special card.

Here’s a closer look at the card, and also, a better representation of the gorgeous color of this cardstock. You can also see where I used a glitter marker to go over the cardstock for a bit of shimmer. And if you look very closely, you can see my reflection in the embellishment!

There are some great prizes from industry friends, and that makes me so happy. I love how these companies work together and support each other. Here’s a list of the prizes:
