It’s Lawn Fawn Time, It’s Lawn Fawn Time!

This month we are collaborating with Lawn Fawn, and that just makes me so very happy. For a few reasons. First, their images are just so darling. From their critters, to their sentiments, I just love everything about them. Second, I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Kelly Marie Alvarez in real life, and she is just fantastic. Really. A lovely, genuine person. And I’d like to think that I can call her my friend. Third, when you watch Kelly Marie’s videos on her Lawn Fawn YouTube channel, you can’t help but smile along with her. You can hear her smile. I promise. Go see for yourself.
This is the card I made for today’s challenge, which is about Stretching Your Stamps. Can you tell what I did “differently”?
My lamp is actually a pot for a plant, turned upside down, and paper pieced, and adorable. I used some fun patterned papers from the Hello Sunshine paper pad.
I made the light by masking off the sides of the panel and just using some Copic markers to get the color I wanted. So easy.
Finished the card by doing some die cutting with the Say Cheese die, also from Lawn Fawn, and one of their notecards. I absolutely love their notecards. I have about half of the ones they make. I need the other half. They’re the perfect size, perfect colors, perfect patterns. Trust me on this.
I hope you’ll join us on this challenge. I had originally intended to make a different card, with a different stamp set, and then this idea popped into my head as I was sorting through my stamps looking for the other set. I’m certain if you start browsing your stash, you’ll also be hit with a neat way to Stretch Your Stash.
