Just Because

challenge-2

This month’s challenge at Where Creativity Meets C9 is all about Watercolor. And that makes me happy. I have been using watercolor more often in the hopes of getting better. And it’s fun. Hard to mess up, really. You get to say words like “organic” and “dreamy” when talking about watercolor, and that means anything goes!

I used the Wildflower stamp set and randomly stamped the two large floral images and the sprig of leaves. Then I filled in with smaller images from the same set. Do you have this set? You should. I feel like it will have a permanent place in my stamping rotation. While stamping the images I left the sentiment in place so I’d save space for it. That stamp comes from Brushed Blossom.

I used my Kuretake Gansai Tambi watercolor paints to loosely color around the images. I love this look, and it’s the first time I’ve done it. There’s something very modern, yet retro, about it that just really appeals to me.

I finished the card front with a few sequins and rhinestones and put it onto some purple cardstock from MFT Stamps.

Our challenge sponsor is the awesome Concord & 9th and the prizes are a $25 gift certificate to a random winner plus a guest designer position offered to the best entry! You have until the 29th of this month to enter the challenge, so make sure you do!

We’d love it if you followed along on our journey, you can find us over on Instagram and Facebook.
