Rebates

Here’s a way to save some paper. Well, at least for the organized folks among us. ;O)

When I send in a rebate, I keep a copy of the receipt and the UPC or whatever else I need to submit to qualify. For the past year or so I’ve been scanning those receipts and bar codes into my computer rather than making photocopies. I just did the same tonight for a rebate and realized that it’s a perfect thing to blog about.

Saves paper and saves filing too!

In case you’re wondering, I use Picasa, which is a photo organizing program available for free, it’s a Google product. Works great. You can set the preferences so that as soon as you put a media card in your computer the items load into the program. Pretty cool.
