Rock the Vote

I just added a Widget to my sidebar. It keeps track of the electoral votes needed to win the Party Nomination for President of the United States (“POTUS”).

I’m not very political. I vote. It just seems like it’s not the easiest process, choosing someone to run the Country, you know? Not the act of voting. Although, I would like to see that be even easier. Last time I voted at the actual polls I practically had to give blood to prove who I was. You see, in Arizona, when you change your address on your driver’s license, they don’t actually change your license. The friendly police officer will know you moved if he ‘runs’ your license. The Voter’s Registration people can’t access that information. After the brouhaha last time, I paid the $4 for a new license. Just so I could vote easily next time.

Then Robert & I put our names on the permanent “early mail-in ballot” list. So we vote at our desks. :O)

Back to choosing a President. Maybe a SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities & Threats) Analysis for each candidate. How about a matrix that shows the candidates on one axis and the issues on the other. Sort of like Orbitz for Presidential candidates. I’m a smart person, but this stuff can just boggle my mind, ya know?

Anyway, I just thought that it might be a good thing to have on my blog, for a little bit. It will remind me to keep abreast of what’s going on in the election.

Let me know what you think.
