Sweet Birthday Wishes

Hi there! Welcome to the Copy a Designer challenge for A Blog Named Hero. I made a quick and easy Sweet 16 card for my cousin, and was inspired by a card from Emily Midgett.

That is the card I made, easy, right? I used the Journaling Numbers die set from Neat & Tangled. Then I colored the numbers with a Copic marker, and then applied Honey Gold Nuvo Glitter Drops to the die cuts and set them aside to dry.

While they were drying I used the sentiment from Hero Arts Color Layering Ice Cream stamp set and stamped that on to some pink cardstock. After I let the numbers throughly dry I used a glue pen to adhere them to the card front. Adhered that to the card base and added some sequins to finish the card.

There’s a close up of the numbers, I really like how they came out. And the best part is that you can make these in an unlimited combination by using various coloring mediums and different glitters on top. Super fun way to get your mojo going if you’re in a rut, just make a bunch of these for future use.

And here is the card that was my inspiration. I just love it, and I tried to do it justice.

I hope you’ll join us for this month’s challenge. Up for grabs is a gift certificate to Neat & Tangled.
