Thanks for Being You

We have a new challenge over at A Blog Named Hero today, and it’s all about Metallics! I didn’t used to be a fan of gold, I was more of a silver gal, but lately, I’m just loving everything that’s gold in the crafty world.

I used a great sentiment stamp from Hero Arts and surrounded it with a wonderfully whimsical stamp from a Neat & Tangled stamp set.

I stamped this on vellum cardstock and embossed with gold embossing powder from Hero Arts. Adhered that to a scrap piece of cardstock with some gold thread, and a few drops of glossy accents along the edges, underneath the solid circle image, just to keep the edges down. Then popped that up on foam for dimension. I really didn’t want to jump on this foam bandwagon, but I have, and frankly, I love it.

Please hop on over to the blog and join us in this fun challenge. It’s sponsored by the wonderful Simon Says Stamp, and they’ve offered a $25 gift certificate to the winner. Very generous of them, and we thank them very much.
