Top It Off – Concord & 9th Feature Friday

Happy Feature Friday to you! I am excited to be here to show you a new stamp set from Concord & 9th. It’s called Top If Off and it’s a fantastic set where you can build your own birthday cake. The die set includes a banner and two sentiment cake toppers. Super fun. However… I took it an entirely different way. 😉

I made the cake layers into books! I read a lot, so I see books in everything I do. As a matter of fact, I saw a video of this month’s release, a little sneak peak, and as soon as I did I thought “Oh, books!”. Ha. Not to say that I don’t also enjoy cake, just to be honest.

This card is very clean and simple, and I like it so very much. I chose four ink colors and stamped the images in a way that they look like they’re on a bookshelf. The last image I stamped in a leaning fashion, as if it were on a real bookshelf.

To finish the card I stamped the sentiment and then used a stitched die around the border before adhering the panel to a card base.
